[Solved] Can't copy/paste

hi all,
my OO does not copy/paste anymore...
I tried in a presentation, a spread sheet and in a text document, and when I do ctrl-c , ctrl-v nothing happens.
Same if I try copy-pasting via right-click or via Edit menu.
The paste button always stays uncolored, showing that it's inactive.
Same with paste-special...
Very frustrating...
Any suggestions?

What are you trying to paste? Dos it work if you paste in another application?

You can try to reset your OOo user profile. But during the welcome process, don't transfer your personal data (if you had 2.x installed), former configuration files might corrupt the new profile.

I've tried copying text, numbers, whole cell contents and whole spreadsheets.
I'm using a CAD program at the same time: there I can copy/paste without any problem.
But I can't copy text from that program to open office or viceversa, which normally is possible.
All copy/paste involving OO is not working.

well it seems like the problem was vectorworks... the CAD application I'm using.
Once I closed that app everything started working normally again.
sorry for wasting your time, this has never happened before and hopefuly never will again.

might be a daft question, but is the edit button (to the left of the PDF button onthe toolbar) selected?

Oh, I see you've fixed it.
