Sun Report Builder 1.0.2 releasd

SUN Microsystems released version 1.0.2 of the SUN Report Builder extension today.

Available here SUN Report Designer now.

To take full advantage of this release OOo version 2.4 is required, but the extension will run in all versions of OOo that support extensions.

Thank-you very much for information about the update of SUN Report Builder ( 1.0.2 ).

I agree, this version is a significant improvement and well worth getting / updating.

I am using OpenOffice 2.4 on a Windows XP machine.

1. Page Header: I have been able to insert a formatted Date and / or Time ( from the menu: Insert -> Date and Time... ), BUT, the display is not 'accurate' .
2. Report Header: I could insert a date and time . . . but . . . when assigning a format . . . it was not formated as defined.

Is this a problem between the seat and the keyboard , a known bug, other?

I think it is a bug - it seemed to be working with one of the developer builds, but it appears something happened on the way to the release. ( then again I might of just been dreaming... )

There is an issue opened yesterday about dates and times in headers and footers by one of the other developers on the Base project...so who knows.

With some luck this will be an issue that can be fixed in the SRB code and not require some fix in the OOo code base - if so perhaps we can expect a 1.0.3 without having to wait for OOo 2.4.1 ( which contrary to their original plans, they where going to just jump to 3.0, appears to now be in the works - no schedule release time that I have seen yet. )

Thanks, r4zoli, any one of these would make me think twice about sing the SRB. The fact that the locale bug exist in the DEV versions is a little sad, since it means we're looking at a longer wait for a fix.

Intertial marketing triumps again - the constant "updates available for your extensions" notice has worn me down, and I'll install this one anyway.
