Importing multi-page .tiff images

Post by rrascall »

I have some important genealogy images (photographs) that are stored as multi-page images in .tif files. When I try to open these images using OpenOffice Draw, I get a message that there is not enough memory to open the images. My computer is brand new and should have PLENTY of memory to handle just about anything. What do I need to do to "expand" whatever kind of memory I am lacking, so I can import these pictures?

Hi and welcome to the forum!

It may be an internal memory problem, try to tweak it in Tools>Options>OOo>Memory.

For the record: Can't Open Multi Page Tiff File in 2.4.

Thanks to add '[Solved]' at beginning of your first post title (edit button) if your issue has been fixed.

You would be well advised to chop the large tiff images in an external program into individual pages and then import them separately.
