hi Folks,
there are several animation methods in Impress, but there is one animation which I like very much (and use very much) but cannot find it.
it is the animation that every sentence will fade in the slide one-by-one.
this animation is very often used when you built a story slowly and by fading in each sentence one after another.
does anyone know how this is possible in Impress ?
if it is not possbile at the moment, will it be in the future ?
kind regards
Fade in one-by-one animation
Re: fade in one-by-one animation
By "sentence", do you mean paragraph (or bullet point)?
You can tell Impress to apply an animation to each bullet point in an outline or paragraph in a text box, but you can't animate individual sentences in a paragraph.

how could I activate this kind of animation in my impress slides ??
Re: fade in one-by-one animation
Sorry, it's a little confusing, but here it is:
1) Select a text object with several paragraphs or bullet points.
2) On the "Custom Animation" panel, give it an effect, e.g. "Fly In"
2) Click the "Effect Options" button (labeled "...")
3) On the "Text Animation" tab:
Group text = "By 1st level paragraphs"
Animate attached shape = NO[*]
Now each paragraph or bullet will appear separately, either on a click or after a time (if you set that option).
Unfortunately, there is no way to make this the default behavior, so you have to either repeat this process, or make new slides by copying an old one.
Also, if you add new paragraphs after you set this up, they won't be included in the sequence and you'll have bullets appearing in the wrong order.
[*] If this is "YES", then you need an extra click at the start to make the text object itself appear, then another click for the first paragraph, and so on.

I hope that maybey in future releases this nice feature can be activated for all slides in one time .............!!
