I am new to Open Office. Just trying it out. I tried creating a presentation, and double clicked on gallery to insert pictures and there are none.

Please help?

You have to install the clip art. Under Tools> Options> Paths you will find the path to Gallery that shows where OOo looks. Now you can find any art that you wish to use and put it in the directory or install clip art from the Tools> Extension Manager panel. At the bottom of the panel you will see a "Get more extensions online... link. Click that and your browser will open to the web site. Enter clip art in the search box and select what you want.

Go to Tools > Options > OpenOffice.org > Paths
Select Gallery
Click Edit...
Click Add...

Select the path [...\Program Files\Openclipart800\ooo]

Mark the default path for new files

Close OOo (and Quickstarter)
Restart OOo
Open Gallery...
