Hi,
I need to create a page with 6 images on it (with their img name) and cannot figure out how to do it. This is for a photography proof book.
I am new to open office and am completely lost.
Thanks

Re: advice on how to create a page
Welcome. You can insert pictures with Insert - Picture - From file. You can right click on them to set options for wrap around the pictures and all that. Read the Help about pictures, that will get you going.

Re: advice on how to create a page
It can be done in Impress, in Draw or in Writer. In latter case, the best way IMHO is to use tables, a cell for the pic and another for the text.

Re: How to create a page for pictures?
There is an OOoExtension for Impress, named PhotoAlbumES:
http://extensions.services.openoffice.o ... otoAlbumES
http://extensions.services.openoffice.o ... otoAlbumES
Try it. I have not tried.[EN]
This version of PhotoAlbum has been made from andreycord version PhotoAlbum with GUI ver.1.0.1
We have also used pieces of code for version 1.0.2 Portable PhotoAlbum by Joan Perals Tresserra.
Changes and new features in this version:
- New: Toolbar own with two buttons
- New: Toolbar with icons
- New: Dialog box with graphic background and a new look
- New: Some buttons incorporate icons
- New: All controls incorporating help text pop
- New: Button About ...
- New: Text box to set a custom title for the album.
- New: Ability to define horizontal and vertical margins, with control of a maximum margin of 70x50
- New: Button to remove all
- Change: The Insert blank slide button is now called Insert sub-album
- New: When you insert a sub-album insert a new slide and we can define its title.
- Change: The title of the slides now have a transparent background. Now, if you apply a master page style is displayed as the slide background.
- New: Now you can select the method of inserting images. The default is embedded (so that the presentation is portable), and optionally, you can choose to insert linked images
- New: When choosing between link or embed images present a warning message.
- Change: Removed the text box to type the path to a folder and the text box and button to set the filter to the way Perl.
- Change: The image list is now larger, which is best managed with a long list or images located on a long route.
- Change: The dialog box and pop all have title.
- Change: All texts have been translated into Castilian (Spanish).
- New: Icon for the Extension Manager
- New: This help text
This version has been tested in OpenOffice.org vers.3.2.1. In earlier versions untested.
