Can anyone help me with the code which would add a footer to OpenOffice Impress slides?

I suggest that you try developing a macro by yourself and submit it into the macro and API sub-forum, you will have more chances to get some help.

Why do you need a macro for this?

You can define footer content under Insert > Date and Time, or just put your footer on the master slide.
